Die Tour orientiert sich an den Velowegen 94 und 399. Sie verläuft ausserhalb Willisau zunächst flach dem Planetenweg entlang, bevor sie leicht ansteigend der Luthern entlang Richtung Huttwil verläuft. Richtung Ufhusen beginnt der erste Anstieg, dafür kann die Abfahrt Richtung Huttwil genossen werden.

In Huttwil empfiehlt sich eine Stärkung in einem der Cafes oder Restaurants, denn von da an bemerkt man den Charakter der Herz - Route (Herzschlaufe Napf 399), die mit einigen steileren Stücken die Hügel der Gegend erklimmt. Auf den Höhenzügen unbedingt die Aussicht geniessen und die immer wieder vorhandenen typischen Holzhäuser bewundern.
