Von Neustift den Ruetzbach überqueren und den gelben Schildern Elferhhütte bergauf folgen. Nach ca. einer Stunde trifft man auf eine Forststraße, der wir nach links folgen, da das Stapfen durch den Aprilschnee ein Weiteraufsteigen unmöglich macht. Unter der Elfergondel geht dann der Weg als Wander-, Mountainbike- oder Rodelbahnweg bergauf bis zur Elferbergstation (1.790m). Zurück kann man den Weg Nr. 9 (Rodelbahn) bequem sanft bergab wählen oder hier und da abkürzen bis man über die Jausenstation Zum Weber Lois zurück nach Neustift gelangt.
