Turn-by-turn directions
ca. 1.000 meters, about 15 minutes
There are two possibilities, either from the park via the bridge after the post and just before the store "Handdruckerei Wach" upwards to the right via stairs to station III.
Also you can turn after the bridge to the promenade "Erzherzog Johann" and follow upwards the stairs and the path to station 3.
Station III to station IV:
ca. 2.000 meters, about 30 minutes
Passing the Villa "Martens-Villa" along the street "Sixtleitengasse" to the main road (B 145) you have to cross the main road at the supermarket "BILLA" and passing the hospital towards the street "Sommersbergsee-Straße". Then to the right to the street "Wilhelm-Kienzl-Straße" and passing the former hotel "Pension Teichwirt" to station IV.
Station IV to station V:
2.000 meters, about 50 minutes
After station IV leads a path through the meadows passing the new therma "Narzissen Bad Aussee" further via the area "Graumoos-Weg" and "Brennerlacke" to another pass below the "Ischlkogel" and then upwards to a hill called "Lenauhügel" to station V.
Station V via the promenade "K.-M.-Brandauer - Promenade" back to the center of Bad Aussee:
4.000 Meter, about 90 minutes
From the hill "Lenauhügel" downwards and at the fire department crossing the road we follow the signpostings downwards to Altaussee. Soon you will reach an institution which is called "Generationen-Haus", which you will pass. At the construction facility of the Altaussee you have to turn to the right and walk along the promenade Klaus-Maria-Brandauer-Promenade along the river "Traun" back to Bad Aussee.

Equipment
Proper backpacking makes a lot of things easier. Pack heavy things first. The water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket. All things that are often needed such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map belong on top. An emergency kit including blister plaster belongs in every backpack and a clothing according to the "onion system" is always recommended!Statistics
