One of the longest winter toboggan runs in Germany awaits us, where we start above Lake Tegernsee and travel along a varied and well prepared toboggan run.

An ambitious and long toboggan run with a lift ascent. The prepared track has a few tricky curves at the beginning, but ends in a straight line that takes us right back to our starting point. The large panorama restaurant next to the mountain station is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. In fine weather, you can look out over the main Alpine ridge and Lake Tegernsee from the terrace.

Safety information

Faster tobogganists should be aware of less experienced riders, especially in the curves at the beginning, in order to avoid collisions.
When there is a lot of tobogganing traffic, especially at weekends, the track may be a little icy at the bottom. In the upper part, too, you should pay attention to the bumps that can occur despite preparation. The toboggan run is prepared between 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. the following day and is therefore closed.

Turn-by-turn directions

The Wallbergbahn gondola takes us to the start of the toboggan run close to the mountain station. The toboggan run starts off curvy on a not-too-wide path, but it is secured and has a high level of safety in the curves. From the Wallbergmooshütte the toboggan run widens. We take another narrow bend and can now let our toboggan run all the way down into the valley. The toboggan run ends directly at the valley station.
The Wallberghaus behind the bend and the rustic Wallbergmoosalm after about half of the total distance offer further opportunities for a stop.
