Starting point is the parking lot at the outskirts of Gries. From here you follow a slightly uphill forest path in the direction of Sulztalalm. Past meadows and the Vögelasbrücke you soon reach the junction where you follow the forest trail to Sulztalalm. Now you continue along the forest trail with slight incline to the Sulztalalm.

Author’s recommendation

From the Sulztalalm you have the possiblity to hike further towards Amberger Hütte. The last 20 minutes of the way show a larger rise.
