Panorama tour through the valley over field and asphalt paths before going steeply up the Stoderzinken. From there you have a fantastic view of the entire Schladming-Dachstein region.

Author’s recommendation

Insider tip at the Stoderzinken: From the car park it is recommended to walk along a footpath (approx. 2 km) to the "Friedenskircherl"(chapel), from where you have a sensational panorama of the Schladminger Tauern, Dachstein massif and Grimming.

The target of this tour is one of the most scenic mountains in the region, the Stoderzinken. From the town of Gröbming, follow the R7 to Aich-Assach, where a moderately steep climb to the Assacher Scharte begins. On a beautiful forestry road, you will climb gently, initially through forest, then with picturesque valley views of Ennstal below. After a short downhill ride, you will reach the Stoderzinken Alpenstraße, now able to continue your uphill ride on a paved surface. The road hugs the cliffs of the Stoderzinken, rewarding you time and again with amazing panoramas of the surrounding mountains. With the climb complete, friendly huts invite you to enjoy a refreshment break. If you have energy to spare, you should definitely hike out to Peace Chapel (emblem of the Stoderzinken), before riding back down the Stoderzinken Alpenstraße to Gröbming. Pedaling through Winkl, you will finally reach your starting point in the town center of Gröbming.
