Go through the vast Öfen gorge via the Rote Wand (also known as Rotwandschlag) and continue towards Stoderalm, located in a peaceful area. From there, continue towards Stoderzinken’s peak.

Follow the path from Lend through the Öfen until reaching the first cattle grid. Afterwards, keep left, passing through multiple steep steps until reaching Stoderalm or the Brünner huts. This is where the ascent to the peak (675) begins, from which you will have a lovely view of the Dachstein, even all the way to the Großglockner. The Hohen and Niedere Tauern in the south and southwest provide a lovely panorama view of our natural landscape.

Getting there
B320, take the Gröbming OST (EAST) or WEST (WEST) exit and at the town centre, continue on Stoderzinkenstraße towards Winkl until reaching the Kneipp facility.
A hood, gloves, a good jacket and pair of pants are standard equipment for routes in Alpine terrain. Good water-resistant shoes, sunglasses, solar protection and sufficient drinks are essential. This also includes torches, mapping material, a knife, and a small first aid kit.
