3-day snowshoehike from Bielerhöhe to Wirl via Klostertaler Umwelthütte and Wiesbadener Hütte.
Best time of year
Avalanche equipment and knowledge necessary.
Alpine snowshoes (e.g. MSR Lightning Ascent or Tubbs Flex Alp/VRT) necessary for the steeper parts, but the route is not technical.

We slept in:
Klostertaler Umwelthütte: this very nice hut is unmanned all year, you need the Alpenvereinkey to get in the central part. There is a part open for emergencies. Reservation is required and happens online.
Wiesbadener Hütte is a large and manned hut in winter. There are many tour skiers coming here, so it is quite crowdy but atmosphere is pretty okay and food is excellent.
Public transport friendly
Vermuntbahn & bus from Partnenen to Bielerhöhe
Wirl has a bus connection with Ischgl/Landeck Zams
We left our car at Silvretta Tierpark and took the bus back from Wirl to the Tierpark.
Arrival by train, car, foot or bike
