Our ascent begins in Kreuth, on the parking lot of the Winterstube. Through the Schwarzenbach valley, the forest road climbs steadily up to about 1000 metres. At a fork in the road we have the choice: straight ahead, the flat path to the Schwarzentenn-Alm is tempting, on the left it climbs to the actual destination - the Buchsteinhütte. The path to the Buchsteinhütte is steeper and climbs in a few serpentines. After 200 meters, we reach the highest point!

The descent on the toboggan run follows the uphill path. Please note: in the Schwarzenbachtal valley there may be vehicles on the toboggan run from time to time, so please be far-sighted.

For the SNOOC snowshoe sledge descent, think about a mask and scarf for the face and gaiters to prevent the snow from getting into your pants. Back protection is recommended.
