Author’s recommendation
The Fuschlsee is wonderful for a swim, but quite cold (mountain lake!) The Strandbad Fuschl (sauna!) is also nice.

The starting point of the tour is at the lakeside promenade in the village of Fuschl am See (670 m). After the hotel "Ebners Waldhof", the route (trail no.10) leads idyllically through wooded areas past the Waldhofalm and some farms. In between, we can enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Fuschl!
Up to Gasthof Schlössl (925 m), the ascent is classified as moderately difficult. We continue - past the Wartenfels ruins (approx. 1000 m) - to the Schober (1328 m). There are some climbing passages (secured by ropes) up to the summit. On the way we also reach the Frauenkopf (1300 m), before we descend to the Schlössl inn, where we either choose the same path back to the lake promenade of Lake Fuschl or we hike left on the path down to the village street of Fuschl and return through the village to the lake promenade!
