Rax Round (Seilbahn-Seilbahn)

1-day hike with cabel car. I did this hike end of september, and there was already snow patches on most parts of the trail, which covered the trail markings sometimes. I recommend to buy the cable car tickets in advance because you have to choose the exact departure times. If you arrive a bit later in the morning to by tickets, the last rides will be already sold out and you will have maybe not enough time for the complete hike. The hike starts on a small path behind the picknik tables. and joins to the blue trail when reaching Ottohaus Hütte. Following the blue trail we reach the cross on Jakobskogel and on Preinerwand. Keep following the blue and then the red marking to the Neue Seehütte, where you can have a drink. Start to climb up on the red trail by the guiding post. and keep right until the green markings. Follow the green path crossing the meadow, then decend between the bushes (here the path was not clearly visible) with the Lechnermauernkar on our right. At the crossroads keep following the blue markings again to the Höllentalaussicht. Then head back to the cable car station.
