The Große (Hohe) Arche between Piesendorf and Niedernsill is a beautiful but very demanding and challanging peak that rewards you with a panoramic view of many 3,000-metre peaks.

The summit can be climbed via various tours. This route leads from Hummersdorf via Unterholz to the beautiful panoramic mountain. On clear days you can enjoy a panoramic view from the Großglockner to the Großvenediger and from the Kitzbühel Alps to the Niedere Tauern.
From Dietlgut you follow the Hummersdorferstraße uphill to Unterholz. Then change to hiking trail no. 14A and hike along it to Erlach Grundalm. Now the demanding part of the tour begins. Ascend via the hiking trail to the Erlach Mitteralm, keep to the right and follow the trail through the Steinkarlalm to the fork in the trail. Keep left and climb the ridge to the summit. The descent is via the ascent route to the Erlach Mitteralm. Turn right here and descend along trail no. 14B past the Unterbergalm to the starting point.
