In the rolling hills of northern eastern Styria, on the eastern foothills of the Masenberg, 20 kilometres of regional trails await those seeking meaning, those restless, those on pilgrimage: 3 spiritual centres (Pöllauberg-St. Pankrazen-Vorau), 4 places of power to recharge personal batteries along ancient pilgrimage paths that connect the Formbacherland/Hartbergerland with the Pöllauertal and Joglland nature parks.
For hundreds of years, the Pankratius Trail has run partly through a nature park, and subsequently largely through a protected natural landscape of exceptional aesthetics. Views of several "worlds", as far as Slovenia, the Pannonian Plain and the foothills of the Alps. Worth seeing is the architectural and art-historical heritage, which can be experienced in ensembles in all 3 (!) spiritual places. Impressive contemporary artistic works can be seen in some places. The regional culinary stronghold in miniature can be experienced in the listed inn "Mesnerhäusl".

Proper backpack packing makes many things easier: Pack heavy things first. The water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket. All things that are often needed, such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map, belong on top.
An emergency kit belongs in every backpack!
It is always advisable to dress according to the "onion system"!
A good hiking boot is a good companion and should never be missing on the mountain!
Don't forget a blister plaster just in case!
