National Park Cycle Route
Well-signposted circular route around the national park. Mainly routing over field and forest paths, there are still some coarsely graveled passages to be overcome.

Distance 89.1 km
Wonderful circular route around the entire Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. The tour leads to all national park gates (sometimes not directly on the route, but the access roads are well signposted), through quiet forest passages and stream valleys and again and again up to the Hunsrück heights with their great views. In several places there is the possibility to leave the circuit and shorten it via designated crossings through the national park. It should be noted that the crossings are sometimes significantly steeper than the actual round trip, and the road surface can also be more difficult to drive.
Author’s recommendation
It is essential to plan time for the national park gates, the water knowledge center, a picnic on the way and many other exciting points along the way

Turn-by-turn directions
The recorded track begins in Sensweiler and goes clockwise around the national park. However, this is purely coincidental and does not represent a recommendation, everyone will reach the route from different directions and can get on anywhere. If you come by car and bring your bike, you can, for example, come to the Hunsrückhaus am Erbeskopf and park there, alternatively, for example, at the Celtic ring wall in Otzenhausen or at the Wasser-Wissens-Werk in Katzenloch (Kempfeld).
