The tour starts in Romoos with a slight uphill via Säumettle to Holzwegen. The highlight here are wooden trolleys! Fabulous views are to be had next to a comfy restaurant. The tour then continues downhill via the Ilmisberg back to Romoos.

Note(s):

Key points: Relatively steep and challenging descent from the Farneren to Mühli (charcoal burners’ trail also used as footpath).

Food/drink:

  • Hotel Kreuz, Romoos
  • Holzwege restaurant

Author’s recommendation

  • Halt bei Holzwäge um die Aussicht zu geniessen.
