Folgen Sie dem Karrenweg (Nr. 201) in Richtung Osten zum Hochalmsatte (1803m). Bei der nächsten Abzweigung links durch das „untere Filztal“ zum kleinen Ahornboden hinunter - dort erwarten Sie ein altes, nostalgisches Forsthaus und das bekannte Hermann-von-Barth-Denkmal (1333m). Jetzt folgen Sie dem Weg 201 weiter zur Ladizalm (diese ist im Juli/August umrahmt von hunderten Almrosen) und direkt hinauf zur nostaligischen und impossante gelegenen Falkenhütte (1848m) unter der berühmten Laliderer Nordwand. Von der Falkenhütte nach Süden zurück zum Spielissjoch (1773m) und beeindruckend unter der Nordwand nach Osten zum Hohljoch (1974m). Immer am markierten Wanderweg bleibend erreichen wir absteigend den Großen Ahornboden und die Engalm.
