At Mairbach, on the southern slope of Walder Joch, the forest trail turns off to Maria Schnee-Kapelle (Our Lady of the Snows Chapel) and to Gasthaus Schönblick. This is where the trail begins uphill from the Inn valley to the Ganalm mountain shelter in Vomper Loch. The trail leads westwards along the northern slope of Walder Joch to the very rustic Ganalm (1,190 m/3,904 ft.).

Afterwards, either take the left footpath through green meadows or the right forest trail to Walderalm which is set in a breath-taking location. The forest trail will take you back down to Gnadenwald.

Inntalautobahn A12, Ausfahrt Hall Mitte, dann einfach weiter über die Verbindungsstrasse Hall in Tirol - Absam – Gnadenwald

Tolle Tour. Ab der Walderalm ist die Landschaft sehr beeindruckend. Insbesondere die Blicke ins Vomper Loch. Der kleine Abzweiger etwa 1 km nach der Walderalm ist ohne GPS kaum zu finden, weil es kein Hinweisschild gibt. Der Weg selbst ist mitunter abenteuerlich, weil er wohl kaum begangen ist. Ist aber letztendlich gut markiert.

VORSICHT beim Versuch die Tour im Winter zu gehen. Der Forstweg von der Ganalm talauswärts kann durch Geröll- Schneelawinen aus zahlreichen Rinnen, die vom Höhenzug runter ziehen, unpassierbar sein! Ein Umgehen im steilen Gelände, in dem der Forstweg angelegt ist, ist äußerst heikel und nicht zu empfehlen (einmal im Kullern hält einen nichts mehr). Es bleibt dann praktisch nur komplett umzukehren und über die Walderalm wieder zurück zu gehen.

ACHTUNG wollte di tour gestern gehen aber der weg zur ganalm ist GESPERRT wegn holzfällarbeiten bis vorraussichtlich 5 september.
