Freiberger Höfeweg
Tappeiner Verlag
A panoramic and enjoyable circular hike from Burgstall via the Höfeweg am Freiberg with a return on the Graf-Volkmar-Weg
.The Höfeweg am Freiberg has all kinds of advantages. On the one hand, there are the refreshment stops that await us along this route. Along the way there is also a great view of the Etsch Valley and its peaks. A special attraction, however, is the sea of daffodils that awaits us in spring at the Kösti chestnut tree nursery. The owner had the idea of planting thousands of bulbs under his chestnut trees. These have multiplied and spread over the years. Generously, walkers are allowed to stroll between the trees on well-maintained paths and enjoy the splendour of the flowers. Of course, the detour to the historic Sinicher Kopf must not go unmentioned. For the first time we enjoy the view of Merano and several gorges. The depressions in the ground that can still be seen on the Sinicher Kopf can be traced back to an Iron Age fortified settlement that has been very well researched.
