This forest hike takes you to the community of Waldbach, where the water games await you as a highlight. On the way there, you can make a detour to the game preserve or visit the Hubertus Chapel. On clear days, you have a wonderful view of the Wechsel region and as far as Hungary.

Author’s recommendation

Vorau is always worth a visit: The only still active Augustinian canons' monastery, the open-air museum or the underground passages Sub Terra Vorau attract numerous visitors. But you can also discover a lot during a walk through the village center.

Equipment

Proper backpacking makes many things easier: pack heavy things first. The water bottle should always be within easy reach in a side pocket.

All things that are often needed, such as sunglasses, camera or hiking map, belong on top.

Before the start of the hike, check the opening times for refreshment stops and pack the appropriate food.

Emergency equipment (incl. blister plaster) belongs in every backpack! It is always advisable to dress according to the onion system!

A good hiking boot is a good companion and should never be missing on the mountain!

Do not forget a blister plaster just in case!
