Safety information

Between 5 pm and 8:30 am pistes are generally CLOSED. During these times pistes are groomed under the assistance of heavy machinery and cable winches, which are a danger to life! Trespassing or skiing the pistes during this time is prohibited. On days without evening operation at Hochwurzen also those pistes are closed that otherwise can be used for ski touring ascent between 5 and 11 pm.

Please take warning signs seriously and use a head lamp for your own safety! Planai-Hochwurzen lift company and the tourist office of Schladming thank you for your understanding!

Before each and every ski tour or snow shoe walk you should check the most recent avalanche warnings which can be found at www.lawine-steiermark.at.

Mountain sport is always carried out under personal responsibility - in winter even more than in summer. Tourist offices or avalanche warning services do not take any responsibility in respect to information provided.
