Der Europäische Fernwanderweg startet in Obersdorf, führt durch Österreich nach Zwieselstein. Hier beginnt die Etappe über das Timmelsjoch bis nach Moos in Passeier
Von Zwieselstein im Ötztal führt die Tour auf dem Urweg (Markierung E5) in das Timmelstal und bergauf zum Timmelsjoch (2491 m). Über die Grenze wandert man der Markierung weiter folgend durch das Passeirer Timmelstal hinunter. Kurz vor der Pankalm rechts ab und auf dem Europäischen Fernwanderweg E5 zum Hochfirst. Links haltend geht es nach Rabenstein und hinaus bis nach Moos in Passeier.
