Discover a part of the beautiful Enns Valley along the village cross-country ski trail from Haus to Aich (or vice versa). Listen to the calming sound of the nearby Enns River and experience a special "winter feeling" while you make your track in the crunching snow along the trees covered in deep snow that tell a winter fairy tale. - IMPORTANT: Cross-country skiing only possible with sufficient natural snow!

Safety information

Safety on the mountainside: changes in the weather, sudden fall in temperature, thunder storms, wind, fog and snow fields are all objective dangers and require the correct behaviour whilst underway. the landlords of the huts are all very knowledgeable about the mountains and can give you good tips about the weather and the routes. Insufficient equipment, exaggerated opinion of ones capabilities, frivolousness, poor health condition and a false evaluation of the situation can lead to a critical situation. In thunder storms: summits, crest-sites and safety rope aids are to be avoided.

If something should happen call following emergency numbers:

  • No. 140 - the number for all Alpine Emergencies in all of Austria

Turn-by-turn directions

The village cross-country ski trail Haus - Aich can be started in both villages. In Haus im Ennstal it is best to start near the Haus im Ennstal outdoor swimming pool. In Aich near the inn GrafenWirt or the hotel "Bärenwirt". From the respective entry points, simply follow the course of the trails and the signs. Between the cross-country ski trails in the Weißenbach area, a small section must be covered on foot through the "Lärchschachen". Also in other sections it may be necessary to "master" a few meters on foot. IMPORTANT: The trails are only groomed when there is sufficient natural snow!
