The loop begins on the village square of Saas-Grund. After crossing the bridge in the direction of Saas-Fee, the route turns right over several trails, first downstream along the river and then through the larch forest to the hamlet of Bidermatten. Here the first descent starts along a little-used country lane to the round church of Saas-Balen.Now it's time to start pedalling. Now the ascent begins along the river to Saas-Almagell.  At Bidermatten you cross the lower part as well as the meadows of the hamlet. Once in Saas-Almagell, the small lake and the various restaurants invite you to take a break.

Finally, the route heads out of the valley over the "Bielen", along the asphalt road on the left. This last ascent is rewarded with a rapid descent over hill and dale to the hamlet of "Unner de Bodme". From here the trail leads back to the starting point in Saas-Grund.
