Wenn der Herzogstand zu überlaufen ist, kann man sehr gut auf den Martinskopf ausweichen. Von hier aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick über den Walchensee in Richtung Karwendelgebirge.

Wer möchte, kann auch mit der Seilbahn bis zum Herzogstandhaus fahren und von dort den kurzen Weg bis zum Gipfel aufsteigen.
