The refuge Müllerhütte is located at an altitude of 3.145m above the Übeltalferner and is reachable only crossing the glacier. First route 9 to the refuge Becherhaus then from the Becher slightly descending to a level glacier crossing (watch out for crevices!) till reaching the refuge Müllerhütte.

Ausgehend vom Talschluss Ridnaun bis zum Becherfelsen (siehe Becherhaus). Beim Zeichen rechts Richtung „Müllerhütte“ im Becherfelsen auf den Gletscher hinaus (Spalten möglich) bis zu der mitten im Gletscher stehenden Müllerhütte! (Natürlich auch direkt vom Becherhaus aus möglich) Bergerfahrung, Trittsicherheit und zweckmäßige Ausrüstung unbedingt erforderlich! Der Rückweg erfolgt über den Aufstiegsweg.

Getting there

Über die A22 bis nach Sterzing, nach der Autobahnausfahrt die 4. Ausfahrt vom Kreisverkehr in Richtung Ridnauntal nehmen. Der Straße für ca. 17 km bis nach Maiern (Bergbaumuseum) folgen.
