Alpenquerung L1 k: Zwieselst.-Ramol-M. Busch, 5.8

5. Tag, Start 9:00 Zwieselstein, Abbruch , Busfahrt, neuer Start 10:20 Obergurgel, Ende 19:00, Gehzeit ohne Pausen 8h

Ich lasse es gemütlich angehen. Wecken um 8:00, Frühstück normal, eigentlich wie auf den Hütten, nur das es gekochte Eier gibt. Abmarsch um 9:00. Der Weg  ist Teil des E5 und läuft neben/bei der Straße und ich habe nach 20min keine Lust mehr (voll, laut etc.). Planänderung: Ich nehme den Bus nach Obergurgel und steige schon heute zum Ramol Haus und Joch und dann weiter zur Martin Busch Hütte. Da die voll ist zelte ich vorher irgendwo und habe dann morgen mit dem Saykogel und der schönen Aussichts Hütte nicht so einen Zeitstreß. Der Aufstieg aus Obergurgel zur Hütte ist angenehm, nur am Ende etwas steil. Ich komme um 14:00 an der Hütte an. Im Ort habe ich mir noch neue Blasenpflaster für meien Fuß gehohlt. Die brauche ich jetzt scheinbar täglich, weil es nicht mehr hält. Die Hütte ist nett und ich bespreche mit dem Wirt den Weg. Er meint ca.5h bis zur Martin Busch und das stimmt auch in etwa. Ich mache 1h Pause und esse Kuchen und Kaffee. Um 15:00 geht es wieder los. In ca. 45 min. bin ich am Ramol Joch. Der Weg ist etwas anders als auf der Karte, aber gut markiert. Man pasiert mehrere Schneefelder. Der Klettersteig besteht aus Stahlseilen und Eisenstufen. Die alten Leitern liegen herum. Der Steig ist nicht schwer und es würde für geübte Kletter auch ohne Seile gehen. Nach ca. 45m ist man am Joch. Der Blick auf die Gletscher ist atemberaubend. Man sieht eine riesige Gletschermühle und eine beeindruckende Eis/Gletscherwand, ca. 85° würde ich schätzen. Danach geht es am Anfang etwas steil danach etwas flacher abwärts. Man passiert div. Schneefelder, aber bei denmomentanen Verhältnissen überhaupt kein Problem. Sobald man Vent sieht hat man Empfang. Es geht weiter links am Berg abwärts. man passiert noch zwei größere Bäche. Einer mit einer Brücke. Man kann schon erkennen, wo sich die Wege treffen. Nur leider gibt es keine Stelle für das Zelt. Kurz vor der "Alm" finde ich einen winzigen Flecken der halbwegs gerade ist. Wasse habe ich mir vorher abgefüllt. An den Fluß kommt man nicht so leicht/ gar nicht heran. Ich koche mir ein Treak and Eat. Wecken um 5:00.

5th day, start 9:00 Zwieselstein, quit, bus ride, new start 10:20 Obergurgel, end 19:00, walking time without breaks 8h

I'm taking it easy. Wake up at 8:00, breakfast normal, actually like in the cabins, only there are boiled eggs. Departure at 9:00 a.m. The trail is part of the E5 and runs alongside the road and after 20 minutes I don't feel like it anymore (full, loud etc.). Change of plan: I take the bus to Obergurgel and climb up to the Ramol Haus and Joch and then on to the Martin Busch hut. Because the is full I camp before somewhere and have then tomorrow with the Saykogel and the nice view hut not such a time stress. The ascent from Obergurgel to the hut is pleasant, only a little steep at the end. I arrive at the hut at 14:00. In the village I got new blister plasters for my feet. I need them now apparently daily, because it does not last any longer. The hut is nice and I discuss the way with the host. He means about 5 hours to Martin Busch and that is about right. I make 1h break and eat cake and coffee. At 15:00 I start again. In about 45 minutes I am at the Ramol Joch. The way is a little bit different than on the map, but well marked. One passes several snow fields. The via ferrata consists of steel cables and iron steps. The old ladders lie around. The climb is not difficult and for experienced climbers it would work without ropes. After about 45m you reach the yoke. The view of the glaciers is breathtaking. One sees a huge glacier mill and an impressive ice/glacier wall, about 85° I would estimate. After that the way down is a bit steep at the beginning and then a bit flatter. One passes several snowfields, but with the current conditions no problem at all. As soon as you see Vent you have connectionm for the phone. It goes further down the mountain to the left. One passes two bigger creeks. One with a bridge. You can already see where the paths meet. But unfortunately there is no place for the tent. Shortly before the "Alm" I find a tiny spot which is halfway straight. Water I have filled up myself before. To the river one does not come so easily/not at all. I cook myself a trek and eat. Wake up at 5:00.
