Beautiful tour, where long climbs alternate with beautiful descents. It leads through alpine pastures to the Styrian Bodensee.
Important note: There is a pasture passage on the route (between Gössenberg and Galsterberg) where the bike has to be pushed around the corner standing on the back wheel. With heavy e-bikes, this process requires a certain amount of force. The pushing of the back wheel is best done with the back wheel brake pulled. We are working on a solution that is satisfactory for the farmer and cyclist. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Author’s recommendation
Visit in any case the Styrian Bodensee - a natural jewel in the Schladming-Dachstein region.

Turn-by-turn directions
Beginning at the village square in Aich, take the R7 to Ruperting, continuing on a paved road that climbs gently. Passing Wellness Hotel Höflehner, you will come to a flat gravel road. Having reached Gumpental, after the Maierlalm turn left, follow the country road, then right towards Seewigtal, beginning a short climb. Soon the path narrows and a beautiful forest path begins, shortly after you will reach the highest point of the climb, then a country pathway drops down to Seewigtal. Here you have the option of a 15 min hike to the Steirischer Bodensee, before the tour continues along Seewigtalstraße towards Gössenberg. Now comes the final climb, via a gently rising paved road. A gravel road will bring you to the Pirklalm, where you begin a ride from the Pruggererberg back to the valley. Keep your eyes open during the ride down to ensure, after a series of switchbacks, you don’t miss the turnoff for Auberg, continuing your tour to Assach. Having reached the R7, returned to Aich.
