A picturesque alpine pasture with home made cheese specialities.
The Unterbergalm presents itself as a traditional hut on a steep slope. While you enjoy home made products from the own farm on the terrace, you are enchanted by the magnificent views of the Dietersbach valley, the Große (Hohe) Arche (2,453 m) and the Kitzbühel Alps/Pinzgau Grasberge.

Getting there

Comfortably by cable car: Ascent with the MK Maiskogelbahn possible. From the top station the alpine pasture can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot via the flat forest road (suitable for prams).

By mountain bike: From Kaprun follow the mountain bike path no. 11G to the Unterbergalm.

As a hike: Starting from Hummersdorf (Piesendorf) on trail no. 14A or 14B to the Unterbergalm.

Parking

Sufficient parking available at the valley station of the MK Maiskogelbahn cable car or at the bridge in Hummersdorf.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Freundlich, bodenständig und auf zack. Die Brote wirklich lecker, der Käse...die "Zirbe" auch....😅 Alles hausgemacht und teilweise auch zum Mitnehmen zu erwerben. Von der kleinen Hüttenrunde die, mit dem meisten Charme. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ganz tolle Hütte mit einer super Location. Da wir leider nicht mit Karte zahlen konnten und wir nicht ausreichend Bargeld bei uns hatten, hat man uns den Rest erlassen. Dafür danken wir sehr, sehr herzlich und empfehlen die Hütte mit 5 Sternen. Aber auch, weil es dort den leckersten Käse der Region gibt!
