Welcome to the Wellington Walking Festival, in the beautiful county of Shropshire!

Wellington Walking Festival presents a variety of special interest walks and events showcasing the geology, ecology and industrial past of the local area. As well as these family-friendly activities, there will be longer walks, including a chance to walk the whole of the Telford T50, a 50-mile trail, in four sections.

Whilst the lineup for the festival in 2023 (11-17th September) remains under wraps, previous festivals have included:

  • Guided walks up the Wrekin, Shropshire's famous hill
  • Crossing the world-renowned Iron Bridge over Ironbridge Gorge
  • Film screenings at The Wellington Orbit independent cinema
  • Discounts at local eateries including the Walnut restaurant

The festival is organised by Wellington Walkers are Welcome, and is supported by many local groups, including the Love Wellington Initiative as well as the Wellington Town Council.

For more information about this event as details become available, please visit the Wellington Walking Festival website.
