Circular route

Steep ascent to Leys Hill through mixed woodland passing the great outcrop of rock called 'The Rock' up stone steps. From there across a narrow lane and a style leading up through a grazing field. At top of field across another style then a woodland track to the right. Beyond that take a narrow way-marked woodland path to the top of Leys Hill. At the lane where there is a magical forest garden with ornaments we turn right heading downhill on a narrow rocky path to the left of a large garden. Turning right at the bottom of the path to downhill to the Wye Valley Walk. A sharp left through cottages and immediately right down a steep park through farm fields to Kerne Bridge Village. Head across the B4234 to the village hall and pick up the footpath heading right to Kerne Bridge. Take the footpath over the bridge which crosses first to the right then the left side of the B4229. Follow the footpath to the top of the arch ahead, which may be the first flyover to be built. Turn right over the bridge into Goodrich village where the lane to the right heads up to Goodrich Castle. Return by the same route to Kerne Bridge, but then turn left along the B4234 to the village of Walford.
