Wegbeschreibung
From the church in Vojsko we start walking by the road towards the NW. At first we lose some altitude, then we gain it again. After some 2 km we see the plate, inviting us to deter from the road to the right in order to visit the partisan printing facility from the WW2. That visit is optional, to reach the hut, you need to lose some 200 m of altitude and later gain it again, returning to the same point on the road.
If we skip visit of that interesting historic place, we simply continue by the road. The next point of interest is the partisan graveyard at some 4.0 km from the start. In April 1945 on Vojsko there were fierce fightings with many casualties, to whom the memorial is dedicated.
From the memorial we continue by the road, till it branches at some 5.0 km. We take the right cart-road, following the inscription for Hudournik lookout point. A comfortable marked path guides us northwards, finally we reach across the last meadow the odge of Vojsko plateau. From the rock we have a great panorama along the Kanomlja valley, which is cut straight through the mountains. The valley owes its straight form to the important geologic fault, named Idria fault.
From Hudournik we follow the marks (inscription: Gačnik) down the meadow, in the SW direction. Soon we hit a macadam road, detour left the house there and continue following the marks southwards in the woods. Then we follow good paths through nice beech woods, more or less descending slightly and turning slightly towards the left. Crossing the slopes brings us to another road, which we hit near a big house/farm. There turn right and follow the marks which go by the road southwards. After a turn, by a weekend hut, the marks are leaving the macadam road. Dont miss that place! You exit the road left and continue by a broad path through the woods. In the SW direction you reach another big house and the road again. Continue by the road down, till the crossroads in the valley of Gačnik creek. There the main road from Vojsko village comes from the left.
On the crossroads turn right and follow the main read towards the NW. Marks are soon leaving that road, going by the road left. Don't follow them any more! From now on, you will only follow the road, and not marks.
By the valley of Gačnik creek you soon reach the nice Gačnik farm. Nowadays it's agritourism, so you can try their hospitality. The road to the next point of interest goes however along the creek by its left side. You do an ascent, go left around the hill and on the other side turn sharp right. Then you only descend to the beautiful farm of Brdar, standing on a nice, grassy saddle.
By the Brdar farm you turn right again and follow the path down to the creek. Where you hit the creek bed, there are three waterfalls: one is upstream, two more beautiful are just a bit downstream. Be careful when visiting the lowest waterfall and by no means don't continue further down from it!
From waterfalls we return in the same direction - to Brdar farm, past Gačnik farm, and then by the main road all the time in the SE direction to Vojsko village. Near the church you will close the loop.
