Part of section 3b, and section 3c of the London Thames Path (South) from Greenland Pier (but I walked from Greenwich, as I finished the previous section there) to the Thames Barrier.
The Thames Path sections do not go from station to station but as I am walking I am going to do it from the closest rail or underground stations and show the route I have walked. I started at Cutty Sark (Greenwich) Station where I finished the previous section (as it was the easiest station to get to).
The route can be downloaded from the TFL site so I will not repeat that. (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/thames-path).
I got off the train at Cutty Sark Station then had breakfast at a very nice cafe/restaurant in Greenwich High Street, 'Bill's', which does a nice selection, including the traditional English I had. A good start to the walk.
It is only a short walk to the river where the Cutty Sark is located. The path along the river is very obvious and an easy walk as it is all paved or concreted, with only a couple of places where you have to walk away from the river.
I walked right along to the Thames Barrier where I hoped to find a cafe and toilet but there was none obvious from walking up into the park. I had to walk back to the Anchor and Hope pub where I stoped before walking up to Charlton Station to get a train to London Bridge and on home by underground.
