Walking route starting in the centre of Sorrento.  The route follows a long distance footpath marked with red and white striped markers. It follows old roads, virtually traffic free and rises steeply to Sant'Agata.  In Sant'Agata there are cafes and restaurants.
From Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi the route descends initially following the long distance path until reaching a square and a church in Torca, Chiesa di Torca.
From there you descend steeply following firstly tarmac roads then leaving the road it follows a relatively steep path that is difficult to follow in places and on a steep exposed hillside.  The start fo the track is difficult to find. On reaching the end of the tarmac at a track marked private with a chain across it the path descends a short ladder/ staircase and follows the fenceline through some dense vegetation and then out onto grass/ shrub land. The route is marked with red dots sprayed on the rocks.  The path desends to a ruined fort overlooking the sea and then continues down to Fiordo di Crapolla.  There are great views over the Amalfi Coast.
Fiordo di Crapolla is an isolated bay with small fishing boats where you can swim.  From Fiordo di Crapolla follow a steep staircase passing a Church. There are 800 steps back to Sant'Agata where you can stop for refreshments.
From Sant'Agata you follow an alternative route, again mainly off road although with a short section (200m ish) on the fairly busy main road between Sorrento and Sant'Agata.  After crossing the road it changes to quiet tarmac narrow roads/ tracks with virtually no traffic back into Sorrento centre.

Planning on going to Sorrento and would be interested to know why you rate this bad. Thanks Barry

Hi Barry- The decent towards the coast was very steep and over dry loose ground. My wife is a fairly experienced walker over different terrains and found it very unpleasant. There was also a barbed wire to get over.
