The basic hike is a half-day round tour. In addition, you have two more options:
1. Prepare bikes on Srednji vrh (Jurež farm, the goal of the tour). Reaching there on foot, you can quickly return down in Kranjska Gora.
2. From Srednji vrh, don't go directly down in Kranjska Gora, but use the asphalted road instead. From the road, you can visit also the Jerman ferrata (extremely difficult), or at list one of the two Jerman waterfalls. Coming down by the road, you can then return from Martuljek either on foot or by bus.

For the described hike, choose a clear day with nice view. Its greatest value is in wonderful panoramas!

1. If you decide to visit the waterfalls, have in mind that the ferrata is extremely difficult! By such routes, you never descend, so this addition would be another 200 m high climb! The lowest waterfall can be seen already from the asphalted road - from the bridge just above the Martuljek village.
2. If returning by bus, get prior to the tour the schedule - visit the tourist office in Kranjska Gora.

Park north of Kranjska Gora and walk by the mountain road up to Galerše. The first goal is Srnjak restaurant (some 30 min). Either go by the road or take a shortcut (as drawn on the map).
From Srnjak continue eastwards. The nice road is closed for public traffic. It goes mostly horizontally and is very panoramic. Nice scenes with huts on meadows. Some 30 min to cross the terrace of Robe.
Reaching the eastern end of Robe terrace, the cart-road starts descending. There be careful to deter from it left up, in the woods (plate: "Srednji vrh"). So, continue by a trail along the eastern edge of meadows, above, the plate turns you eastwards across the forested slopes again. Cross the slopes, mostly going horizontally. On some places the trail is well beaten, on other places it's a bit weak. Mind the yellow marks on key spots. So you reach a nice meadow with two huts, there's a great view on Martuljek Group (see the photo). From the huts continue a bit left, up the hill. The trail becomes a rugged cart-road, bringing you into the ravine of Jurež creek. Cross the stream by a small bridge and on the other side sontinue southwards. In a few minutes you'll reach Jurež farm, the westernmost on the Srednji vrh terrace.
From Jurež go by the road further towards the E-SE (or, if you have bikes there, ride furher on). The road descends into the small village of Srednji vrh. Stroll around a bit for the most beautiful scenes (old farms, vistas), before leaving that wonderful place!
The direct cart-road to return to Kranjska Gora deters from the main mountain road at the first houses of Srednji vrh (coming from the W). So, turn there sharply right down (plates) and descend across the slopes (forests mainly) down to the Sava river. Then continue above the northern bank of Sava all the way to your car in Kranjska Gora.
