Lyn Cau, Cadair Idris

Park at the car ark at the foot of Cadair Idris, Its pay and display and there are loos too. The initial ascent is steep and fairly hard going, plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos of the waterfalls. Path is clear and good with steps in places. Once near the plateau the path splits, take the left path to the lake. The path just on from here was being repaired. Its a steady ascent which can be boggy in places. Once at the lake there is a path round the lake and the views can be spectacular with the summit (if its clear) off to the right. The path to the summit is to the left and follows the ridge to a false summit. A circular route can be taken which rejoins the original path.
