Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your hotel before setting off for today’s hike. Take the Boé cable car to Piz Boé at 2,224m. This loop walk follows a balcony path as it steeply ascends the slopes of the Sella Massif and offers views of the Marmolada glacier, and also the Civetta and Pelmo peaks in the distance. Ascend a short section of easy Via Ferrata (no equipment required) just before reaching the Franz Kostner Rifugio. This traditional mountain hut is located at 2,500m and is a wonderful lunch stop. A gradual descent is a perfect way to walk off lunch, but you also have the option of taking chair lifts and cable cars all the way back into Corvara.

Today you will be walking along narrow and exposed paths, so a head for heights and a sure foot is required. There are some easy Via Ferrata sections (metal wires, ladders, footholds bolted into the rock) to overcome. These don't require any specialist equipment and are similar to an easy scramble.
Watch the short term local weather forecasts. Avoid high altitude hiking when the weather is bad. There are plenty of trails in the valleys that allow you to reach a village quickly if bad weather sets in.
