Section 10 of the London LOOP from Hatton Cross to Hayes & Harlington. The London LOOP does not go from station to station but as I am walking I am going to do it from the closest rail or underground station.
The route can be downloaded from the TFL site so I will not repeat that. (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/loop-walk).
This is a nice walk largely along the Crane River and Grand Union Canal. It starts on a busy dual carriageway close to Heathrow and is quite noisy until you turn onto the Crane River and enter the Crane Valley Park where the noise of the aircraft disappears remarkably quickly. The route is far better sign-posted than the previous section and fairly easy to follow.
The paths are mostly gravel and compacted earth, except for the pavement sections, but fairly flat, and this is also one of the shortest parts of the LOOP so it is not too taxing. I don't think it is possible to walk along the River Crane in the last part of Cranford Path anymore and the signpost seemed to suggest staying on the main path rather than turning right to meet and follow the river as shown on the TfL map.
