Craven Arms, Hopesay Common and Edgeton

A good day's walk on quiet country lanes except for crossing Hanway Common.  Head out from Craven Arms along a stretch of the roman road - Watling St before turning up Long Lane for a steady climb to Wart Hill.  (Detour if you feel fit!)  Leave the road for the footpath along the top of Hopesay Common and be rewarded with fantastic views of Burrow Hill Fort and beyond.  Heading downhill you will pass through the pretty villages of Hopesay and Edgeton before heading back towards Wart Hill where Long Lane is now a much more amiable descent back to Craven Arms.
