A classic ascent of Cadair Idris using a popular circuit using the Minffordd Path that starts from a car park on the south side off the A487.

The ascent begins with several flights of steps leading up to Llyn Cau. On the way check the footbridge over Nant Cadair (stream)is OK to use for the descent. From here the ascent gets more interesting with fantastics view over Cadair's flanks. On the summit you're treated to stunning, 360 degree panoramas over Snowdonia and the Irish Sea. The descent, via Mynydd Moel, rejoins the outbound round just after the footbridge over Nant Cadair.
