To get to St. Bartholoma you have to take a 30 minutes ferry (or take a rigorous 3 days hike through the mountains). The ferry is located at the end of the Konigsee village, and the price for one adult is around 40 euros (updated to July 2022). There are less expensive tickets for groups and children, and there is also a pricier ticket for a longer ferry that travels 30 more minutes to the end of Konigsee. On the ferry, there is a guide that explains things in German.
The last ferry back is around 16:00 so you have to plan your walking accordingly and get to St. Bartholoma early enough if you want to have time in that beautiful place.
Some people were willing to get to the Konigsee along the route, so bring a swimsuit if you think you'll want to refresh yourself in the Konigsee.
There is close to no elevation gain in this route, so the route is very easy to walk.
I think you should definitely do this route if you want an easy walk with an amazing view of the Konigsee and the German alps.

Really non-needed. This route is good to do even with sandals.

You can take an even longer ferry to the end of the Konigsee where you can walk to another lake, but this takes more time and is a harder hike.
